Stratford Hockey Club has signed up a 3 year sponsorship deal with DCS Europe as their Shirt Sponsor.
DCS founder and CEO, Denys Shortt OBE, was first selected to play hockey for England whilst at Stratford Hockey Club and this agreement underpins the affinity that Denys has with hockey and with supporting sport locally.
Stratford Hockey Club shirts will display the DCS logo for both home and away kit for the next 3 years. DCS will also provide free ad hoc support such as strategic advice, design and marketing.
Denys Shortt OBE said “It’s great to sponsor such a major sporting club in the town. This relationship is close to my heart as the first club I played for was Stratford. It was whilst playing there that I was selected for the England Under 16 team.”
He continues “I know how important it is for the Hockey Club to have secure funding – hence we agreed a 3 year deal. We are especially keen to support the Junior Academy as this is where the stars of the future will be made.”
Simon Harrison, Stratford Hockey Club Sponsorship Secretary commented “When a lot of businesses are cutting sponsorship being supported by Denys & DCS is great news for the club. It provides us with the foundation to continue to develop as a major sporting club within the town.”
DCS Europe has 300 staff and are the UK sales and distribution company for Gillette, P&G, Unilever, Colgate, L’Oreal, Osram and more. They also own the Enliven brand which is Made in Stratford and exported to 70 countries.
