Support for Stratford Hockey Club
The Town Trust are a grant-giving charity based in Stratford-upon-Avon, helping to support local good causes and community projects. Since 2001 they have given out around £1 million each year to local good causes, community projects and initiatives that have made Stratford-upon-Avon a better place to live, work and study.
Their grants are available to projects and groups that help people who live in Stratford-upon-Avon. We help everyone from small youth groups to large arts organisations.
This year they awardewd £25,000 to Stratford-upon-Avon Hockey Club to support a new community outreach programme.
The sum awarded is the first in what will be a three-year programme grant, funding a project to take hockey into local schools and to get adults playing again through a ‘Back to Hockey’ initiative. In year 2 ‘Hockey Tots’ will also begin, for 3 to 6-year-olds.
