Pre AGM presentation and AGM

The club has just circulated a survey to gain the views of all its members about the current season and to set the priorities for next season. The results will be presented at our Pre-AGM meeting on Thursday 24th March 7pm at Stratford Sports Club, Swans Nest Lane, CV37 7LS. Please come along and share your views over a beer/ wine. The full AGM will be on Friday 6th May at 7pm.

Season drawing to a close already!

It has been wonderful to see so many members returning to the pitch after a very disrupted two years and whilst Covid continues to have some lasting impact, this season has been much closer to the normal than we imagined when we started in September. Coaches wanted for Stratford!

With the performance squad gaining promotion three seasons in a row and the club growing rapidly, mainly due to growth in juniors, we need to bolster our coaching team. Men’s 1st Team Coach Opportunity

Stratford upon Avon Hockey Club are looking for a coach for one the fastest improving performance squads in the country.   The men’s 1st team have been promoted three times in three years, winning England Hockey’s Team of the Year and are now in the Midlands Premier Division. Mens season finished and places decided.

The men’s season is now officially over because of the COVID virus, with league positions being allocated as things stand. Men’s 1’s – played 20 won 11 drawn 1 lost 8.  Finished with 34 points, which looks like it might be enough to get them into Prem in fourth place. Co-Vid 19 impacts on Hockey

Due to the Government and England Hockey advice about Co-Vid 19 the Hockey Club has made the decision to postpone the AGM and the Players’ Dinner. All Hockey training and matches have been cancelled. As soon as we can provide some new dates and information we will email all members and post on Face book and Twitter.
